After over 3 months of preparation, planning and scheduling, our Proposal Planners were finally able to fulfil our clients dreams of the most romantic and memorable proposal for his girlfriend at the Shangri-La Hotel in the Shard! Our team had plenty of time to make sure that we had got all the little details just right and that everything would run smoothly on the day.
As it was also a birthday celebration, the whole day was filled with exciting and once-in-a-lifetime surprises without her realising it was all leading up to the proposal! The night before, the couple stayed at the beautiful Park Lane Hotel for a relaxing and romantic night before the excitement began; little did she know what was in store for her! The next morning they were driven to a private heli-pad for a helicopter flight across London; a unique perspective of the city they both love!
After coming back to ground, they were whisked away to the Shard where our client revealed they’d be spending the night at the Shangri-La Hotel in an iconic suite. The Shangri La was chosen, not only because it hosts one of the most luxurious hotels in London or even because it is the tallest building in the UK, but because it was symbolic to the couple as they can see the building from their house.
At this point, our team were in action and were waiting for the couple to vacate the room for their dinner at Aqua; an innovative and contemporary restaurant with breath-taking views over London. Once they had the all clear, our team entered the room and transformed the space into a spectacular setting with fresh flowers, candles and rose-petals.
As the sun began to set outside, the room was filled with a soft glow from the candles and fairy lights, highlighting the personal touches unique to the couple including pictures, quotes and locations that were special to them.
The biggest and best surprise of the day was still to come for the birthday girl and the team heard her surprise when she saw the room from down the hall where they were hiding! Of course, she said yes and after a private moment, the couple had a photoshoot to remember this momentous occasion by!
Yet the surprises weren’t over quite as the final one was anxiously waiting upstairs at the GONG bar; Their closest friends had all gathered to celebrate her proposal and birthday!
The day had been an incredible success and isn’t one that either of them are likely to forget in their lifetimes together!
