A Fairytale Evening: James’ Beauty and the Beast Inspired Proposal

Some love stories feel like they were written for a fairytale, and James’ proposal to Aileen was nothing short of magical. With London as the backdrop to so many of their shared memories from their very first overseas trip together to ringing in New Year’s Eve 2024 it felt only fitting that this chapter of their story unfolded in the heart of the city they both adore.

The Inspiration

When James came to us with his vision, one detail shone through: he wanted a proposal that was romantic, intimate, and deeply personal to Aileen. Growing up, Aileen’s favourite Disney film was Beauty and the Beast, and James wanted to weave that childhood magic into a setting that reflected her class, elegance, and love for meaningful details. He also mentioned her fondness for London’s iconic landmarks, particularly Tower Bridge. With all of this in mind, we knew the perfect place to bring his vision to life: the deluxe apartment at Cheval Three Quays, with its sweeping views of the Thames and Tower Bridge.

The Setting

We transformed the luxury apartment into a scene inspired by Beauty and the Beast elegant, romantic, and timeless. A centrepiece of a single enchanted red rose hang from the rose heart and one under glass sat pride of place, surrounded by candlelight and cascades of red and gold accents. It was the perfect blend of Disney enchantment and London luxury.

James dropped to one knee against the glittering backdrop of Tower Bridge, surrounded by the fairytale setting we had created just for them. Of course, she said yes.

The Experience

To make the evening truly unforgettable, we arranged for a private chef to prepare a bespoke three course meal, tailored to the couple’s favourite flavours. Every detail was considered, from personalised champagne bottles to serve as a keepsake, to thoughtful touches that reflected Aileen’s sentimental and romantic nature.

A Love Written in the Stars

This proposal was a beautiful reflection of James and Aileen’s love story a combination of elegance, sentiment, and just the right amount of magic. From their first adventure to London, to creating new memories overlooking the city’s most iconic landmark, this was an evening they will cherish forever. Because, after all, some love stories really are timeless… just like a tale as old as time.
