A Year of The One Romance Magic: Our 2025 Highlights

As we reflect on the past year at The One Romance, we’re reminded just how extraordinary it has been. From intimate moments to grand, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, 2025 has been a year filled with creativity, emotion and unforgettable memories each one thoughtfully designed and beautifully executed for our clients.

From One Iconic London View to the Next

We closed 2024 with a truly cinematic moment a private cinema proposal at Shangri-La The Shard and began 2025 exactly as we meant to continue: dining in the sky, once again at this iconic London landmark. It’s clear our clients simply can’t get enough of those breathtaking city views, paired with our bespoke styling and attention to detail.

February brought romance in its purest form. We spent Valentine’s Day at Rosewood London with an elegant date night, and a proposal at our exclusive venue, Fitzrovia Chapel, before closing the weekend at Pennyhill Park, where handwritten love notes and bespoke touches created an atmosphere of timeless intimacy.

New Venues, New Stories

This year also introduced us to some wonderful new locations. A milestone birthday was celebrated at The Soho Hotel, using their exclusive cinema room for a private and playful celebration. March saw us step into the grandeur of Dartmouth House for the first time, where a deeply personal staircase proposal with the theme “I’ll be with you every step of the way” reminded us why storytelling is at the heart of everything we do.

We were thrilled to return to the River Thames throughout the year with our trusted partners at Thames Limo, delivering increasingly popular private proposals surrounded by London’s most iconic backdrops Tower Bridge, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye, to name just a few.

Rooftops, Rivers and Spring Sunshine

Spring brought fresh energy and beautiful light. A rooftop proposal at The Store Hotel in Oxford a location close to our couple’s hearts unfolded on a bright afternoon with family waiting to surprise them. As summer approached, we continued creating magic across Shangri-La The Shard, Dartmouth House’s courtyard, Fitzrovia Chapel, and the Thames once more.

One standout moment was a Beauty and the Beast themed proposal at Cheval Three Quays, one of our favourite apartment hotels and a trusted partner, offering unrivalled views of Tower Bridge, The Shard and the river beyond and our amazing private chef creating the perfect celebration meal.

Summer Adventures Near and Far

Our first picnic proposal in Richmond Park tested our flexibility British weather had other plans but thanks to our incredible team, a last-minute reschedule delivered a perfect sunny May afternoon, complete with curious animals joining the celebration.

Alongside London celebrations including a birthday on the London Eye, proposals at 6 Park Place, and romantic room decorations at venues such as the new art’otel Hoxton we also ventured further afield. From an 8-year anniversary on the beaches of Sandbanks, a luxury date on Camber Sands to Cliveden House, to land-and-sea celebrations in Dubrovnik, our year culminated in one of our most exclusive projects to date: a meticulously planned Paris proposal, featuring private jets, Rolls-Royce transfers, private boat trips and the most spectacular penthouse suite at Shangri-La Paris, overlooking the Eiffel Tower.

Autumn Elegance and Festive Firsts

As autumn and winter arrived, our work moved indoors but lost none of its magic. From filling The Shard’s private dining room with daisies, to transforming the ballroom at Four Seasons Hampshire, to creating a poignant outdoor proposal at the very spot a couple first met twelve years earlier, every detail remained deeply personal.

We celebrated birthdays in Venice, delivered our first proposal at Minster Mill, and as Christmas approached, reached several exciting milestones: our first-ever proposal at Café Royal, where we are now proud to be recommended suppliers for romantic events, and our first rooftop proposal at The St James Hotel.

We closed the year exactly where we feel most at home in the serene beauty of Fitzrovia Chapel alongside a winter wonderland proposal at Café Royal, bringing the year full circle.
