World’s greatest Romeo and Juliet proposal – Amanda and Andrew

The most romantic love story of all time is Romeo and Juliet, which is why when Andrew got in touch to propose to his girlfriend Amanda we decided to create a ‘romeo and juliet proposal.’ Why? Well first off Amanda loves the theatre and Shakespeare! Andrew was adamant he wanted a one of a kind proposal that HAD to take place in a theatrical venue.

Here’s what happened at our Romeo and Juliet Proposal!

ON the day of the proposal Andrew told Amanda they were heading for dinner with some of his friends from London. He explained that they were going to collect them on their way to the restaurant and would be stopping by the friend’s workplace (which happened to be an old theatre!)

Our proposal planner Tiffany then had to put on her acting skills and pretend to be ‘the friend’, whitely explaining that her other half was running late so why didn’t Amanda and Andrew sit down and watch a rehearsal of Romeo and Juliet that was taking place.

Where to propose in London — The entire theatre was decorated with thousands of Fairy lights, Festoon lights and candles to add a romantic athmosphere

Amanda was very happy to sit and watch the rehearsal so our two fabulous actors set about acting out the famous Balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet. After a couple of minutes Andrew excused himself to go to the loo and left Amanda on her own to watch the actors.

Half way through the rehearsal, Andrew excused himself to sue the bathroom, leaving Amanda to watch the rest of the rehearsal by herself.

Suddenly (and to Amanda’s huge surprise!) a string quartet started playing behind her and a singer emerged singing the love song from ‘Romeo and Juliet.” Amanda, still unaware that this was all about her, thought it was just part of the play and continued to watch.

But then things got a little bit more special! Suddenly a choir of singer entered and Amanda was surrounded by people singing one of the most romantic songs in the world. At this stage, Andrew walked back in, took her hand and led her into the middle of the stage

Andrew then gave the most beautiful proposal speech and asked Amanda to be his wife!

Amanda was completely shocked and couldn’t stop smiling! It has to be said it is one of our favourite proposals to date!

After celebrating with a glass of champagne the couple were then shown Amanda’s very own ‘Juliet’s Wall’ which had love messages written from Andrew to her on it!
