Flower Wall Proposal, Mondrian Private Dining Room

Flower walls are all the rage right now! From weddings to baby showers and birthdays, they’re everywhere! Can you even remember a time when we didn’t have flower walls? Of course, they are everywhere for good reason: they’re eye-catching, Instagram-worthy and the perfect backdrop for your event. However, they are just that, a backdrop! It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking that you only need a flower wall and you’re sorted. At The One Romance, we think that a flower wall is an addition to the main event, not THE main event! Anik got in touch with our Proposal Planners as he had seen our Memory Tree Proposal Blog at the Sea Containers and loved the venue and idea! He wanted to take inspiration from this proposal but also add something unique to make it personal to him and Amisha.

There are a wide selection of bars in the Mondrian; each catered to your mood and taste and Anik and Amisha started their evening at the Rumpus Bar. Soon after, the couple were led to their “reserved table” but were taken to their private dining room! No words need describe her reaction: just look at the photos! Later on, she told us that it was a complete surprise and just earlier at pre-dinner drinks, she had been talking to Anik about their future together! Little did she know that he was holding his tongue and had an incredible surprise waiting for her that would be revealed in just a few minutes!

The couple followed the red rose petal pathway to the outdoor terrace, where the next surprise was! Underneath the flower wall, there was a beautifully wrapped box and a little further along a glittering tree stood with glass baubles hanging from the branches with love notes inside!

Inside the box was a beautiful bright pink balloon with the words ‘Will You Marry Me?’! Of course, she said YES and our photographer was there every second to get all of the emotions!

The couple were completely overwhelmed and spent some time enjoying the outdoor area and calling their family and friends to deliver the good news whilst showing them the beautiful set up!

Inside, the couple were wined and dined surrounded by hundreds of twinkling fairy lights and candles that created a breathtaking and extremely romantic dining area: one they are sure to never forget.

The couple continued their night at the Dandelyan bar; one of the world’s most Instagrammable bars!
